GOGONA CHEESELocal Retail Price: Nu. 275 per kilogram Gogona cheese is cheese is produced in a remote high land community called Gogona Through INDOCERT, the Gogona Milk Processing Unit and cattle farms are under the process of organic certification in accordance with the EU standards. It is anticipated that the cheese will be certified organic by early 2007. Directions for consumption: With an excellent flavor and taste, the cheese can be consumed as a snack, with wine or crackers or in a sandwich. It can also be used for making pizza, lasagna and other international dishes. In Bhutan it can be used for cooking the famous “ema datsi” (chilli and cheese), “kewa datshi” (potato and cheese), and “shamu datsi” (mushroom and cheese).
